Spatial Planning and Design Team Leader (PBC009) Inclusive salary range £33,355 up to £36,868 per annum The Council’s Planning department deals with many challenges to ensure that our city and countryside remains attractive to residents and businesses as well as facing significant development pressures. In this new role, you will assist in the delivery of a Development Plan, including the project identification and implementation, seeking to safeguard the natural and built heritage, promote environmental quality and deliver a seamless spatial planning offer incorporating expertise from a range of professional disciplines which also complies with statutory and corporate requirements. With RTPI membership, you will be educated to Degree or Masters level in Town Planning with previous management experience and have a broad range of knowledge and experience of the key issues influencing spatial planning. You will also demonstrate a creative and innovative approach to problem solving. With expertise in preparing spatial planning documents and taking these through the plan adoption process, you will also have knowledge of urban design, conservation and listed building legislation and procedures. Your working style will be collaborative and partnership driven, with a strong appreciation of the challenges and opportunities of working within a political environment and highly participative local community.
