A new opportunity has arisen within Buckinghamshire County Council for a Solicitor who specialises within Employment Law to join the organisation on a permanent basis.
The Education and Litigation Group of Legal and Democratic Services are looking to recruit a confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated employment law solicitor. This is an exciting and challenging post for someone looking to obtain high quality employment law experience working for a public sector employer. The Legal & Democratic Services Department has held Lexcel accreditation since 2002
The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced Senior Legal Assistant and be responsible for a broad range of employment litigation, which may include dismissal, redundancy, TUPE and discrimination claims. As well as having conduct of complex employment related cases in the Courts and Tribunals you will also provide advice on all employment related issues ranging from contentious to non-contentious matters to the Groups clients.
The successful candidate will have the ability to act on their own initiative, work well individually and as part of a team, have excellent communication skills and ability to cope under pressure. An ability to handle sensitive and complex cases in a calm and professional manner will prove invaluable. As well as this you will have a proven track record in post-qualification employment law experience either in the public or private sector.
