£29,571 rising in annual increments to £37,851 pa incl. LW

Starting salary dependent on experience We require experienced Social Workers for the Emergency Duty Team. You must be AMHP qualified with extensive experience of working with children, adults and families, supported with a wide knowledge of children and adult legislation and statutory requirements, which will also include mental health and child protection. You will need resourcefulness and the ability to quickly assess emergencies and offer immediate counselling and practical assistance that will prove decisive. Members of the emergency team work on a rota basis to provide a service overnight, weekends and bank holidays .Shifts are busy and the work is challenging and varied. Shifts are staffed by one person, so it is important that applicants are capable of working alone, although there is always management consultation and support available.

The post has salary enhanced of 20% for out of hours. We are also recruiting for sessional Social Workers within our team. Sessional Social Workers will be offered a casual Worker post of zero hours – this will be on an as and when required basis. For this role you should have a recognised qualification in Social Work, be registered with the General Social Care Council (GSCC) and have experience in Children’s Social Care.
