The Kent & Medway Out of Hours Service provides an emergency response to Adults and Children across Kent and Medway. We are seeking to recruit to our highly motivated, friendly and supportive team. We are seeking experienced Children & Families/Child Protection Social Workers (at Senior, Maturing or Developing Practitioner Level) who:
• Are able to work Weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Are committed to maintaining high standards.
• Are resilient, flexible, adaptable, forward thinking and positive about improving services outside normal working hours.
• Are able to work at speed and under pressure, whilst maintaining excellent risk assessment and prioritising skills.
• Have excellent communication skills and are both competent in, and committed to the use of Information Technology.
• Are interested in broadening their knowledge and skills base to incorporate working with Adults, including Adult Protection.
• Are looking for a change from the 9–5 routine and looking for a new challenge
• Are able to cope with the variety of shift working.
You will need to have attained the PQSW/Child Care Award.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Criminal Records Bureau and to registration as a qualified Social Worker with the General Social Care Council.
