We are looking for a qualified social worker to join our busy Duty and Assessment Team undertaking both Initial Assessments and Child Protection Enquiries, with some Court work as required, and to take part in the front line Duty Rota. This is an opportunity to join a Local Authority who were assessed by OFSTED as ‘Good’ in the most recent Safeguarding and Looked After Children Inspection in September 2011 and a Duty and Assessment Team who have had very positive feedback in both of our annual Unannounced Inspections into Contact, Referral and Assessment Arrangements.
The Duty and Assessment Team performs at a high level, with supportive management and a staff team that are enthusiastic and committed to the children they work with and to raising standards of practice.
In joining us, you will have regular supervision, good training and the opportunity to develop your professional skills and interests.
You will be committed to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and bring a sound knowledge of relevant child care legislation, good report writing skills, communication skills and an ability to relate to children. The right candidate will also have an ability to work under pressure, with competing demands and to timescales.
For an informal discussion, please contact Sonia Johnson Team Manager or Steve Bailey Assistant Team Manager on 01344 352020
