We are looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Social Worker to the Recovery & Support/Assertive Outreach team at Northover Community Mental Health.

The post holder will join a large and experienced team of Nurses, Social Workers and Psychologists. You will be working with people with severe and enduring mental health needs and the area we cover is diverse socially and culturally and receives the highest rate of new referrals in Lewisham.

The post requires you to have a good knowledge of CPA processes including risk assessment skills, and be able to promote recovery and work towards independence. You will be expected to work closely with families, carers professionals and voluntary agencies.

A qualification as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner would be desirable. Alternatively a willingness to train as an AMHP would be essential.

You will participate in the CMHT duty service which will provide you with the opportunity to assess and plan appropriate support for people with a wide range of mental health difficulties.
