The Job

Social Care Compliance Officer

£40,716 pa The position of Social Care Compliance Officer will provide support to the service to implement the Social Care Governance agenda. This post will be responsible for ensuring all key systems, services and risk management processes are aligned to the Strategic vision of the department and are implemented effectively. The position will take responsibility for:

1. Leading the development of appropriate monitoring frameworks to ensure compliance of new customer pathways with sustained governance for Adult Services.

2. To develop local guidance and policy for services and disseminate key information across Adults Services.

3. To audit and lead reviews of local and commissioned services including making recommendations for changes.

4. To work closely with the Councils volunteer service and the external market, ensuring that robust arrangements are in place to monitor the practice and outcomes for service users and carers.

The Person

The successful candidate will have detailed Knowledge/experience of:

· Social Care functions, structures and relevant legislation and regulations.

· Social Care Policy developments and services

· Self Directed Support and Personalisation agenda

· Direct experience in work to improve service quality: this should include:

1. Adults Social Care within an operational environment

2. Developing quality assurance and compliance mechanisms

3. Developing and implementing audit tools

  • Valuing and managing diversity and conducting equality impact assessments * Gap analysis methods * Delivering presentations and training programmes * Drafting policies for relevant environment * Undertaking investigations and case file audits

This role requires a well developed ability to be proactive, self-managing, highly organised and planned.

Ability to work effectively as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.

Proven ability to problem solve and analytical skills and ability to think critically. Closing Date: 12th February 2012
