This role is vital in maintaining our highly rated services including the provision of excellent integrated services for children, through the “Life Chances Team”., a virtual team of professionals from health, education, connexions, social care, youth offending, early years and youth services.
Children’s and Young People’s Services in West Berkshire Council, are an authority rated as ‘Good’ in the CAA process with strong and stable social work teams, supported by regular supervision and appraisals and with excellent training and staff development.
We have an outstanding Fostering service and Youth Offending Team, good adoption and private fostering services and a range of high quality statutory and third sector services for disabled children. We are one of the first Councils to set up Integrated Locality Teams and we are supported by an excellent range of Preventive and Early Intervention services.
We have recently moved to a more “flexible working” style and have moved into new offices in the centre of Newbury.
