A unique opportunity exists to join the Smarter Travel Richmond upon Thames project team in an exciting and dynamic new role.
Smarter Travel Richmond upon Thames (STR) is the largest behavioural change and social marketing programme in London. STR is a partnership programme between the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (LBRuT) and Transport for London with a £4.2 million budget concluding in September 2011.
With a real interest in sustainable travel (UK and abroad), and awareness of social marketing theory/practice, transport policy and the wider sustainable development agenda, you will be responsible for managing Destination Travel Planning and Personal Travel Planning throughout the LBRuT and to support the STR objective of increasing the mode share of walking, cycling and public transport use.
The role requires you to be dynamic, innovative, creative and have excellent communication skills. You will be required to develop and implement a strategy for Personal Travel Planning inclusive of a modern and innovative approach and based on best practice.
You should be educated to degree or equivalent level and have good experience in all aspects of successful project management. The role is subject to CRB check as you may at times need to work with children.
