We are looking to recruit a Senior System Development officer to work within our existing team supporting the implementation and continued development of the department’s new adult case management system, (Careworks CareDirector and Oxford Computer Consultants SPOCC systems).

As the successful candidate you will be involved in a large number of key elements of the project during its three year implementation phase. In particular, you will lead on the implementation of all financial aspects within both CareDirector and SPOCC systems including integration with the Authority’s account management system, (Agresso).

Once implemented, you will be expected to continue to lead on the long term support and development of all these elements of the systems. To provide ongoing, innovative and robust solutions to unique and ad hoc problems within this area.

Due to the challenging nature of this post, the successful candidate will have excellent communications skills, be customer focused with a strong analytical approach to work and most importantly, have a demonstrable track record of success within a public sector systems development environment working on a wide range of projects including the implementation of one or more financial management systems.

The successful candidate will also need to have a good understanding of national developments within the Adults Social Care sector. You will also have knowledge and understanding of the structure, function and business of local government and adult’s social care services in particular. Knowledge of information systems currently in use within this sector (OLM’s Carefirst 5, CareWorks CareDirector and OCC SPOCC) would also be an advantage.
