Cambridgeshire County Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed CAMH
Senior Social Worker within the East Cambridgeshire and Fenland area.
Applicants must have extensive post qualifying experience of social work with children and families.
Holding a Professional Social Work Qualification and being registered with the General Social Care Council (GSCC).
You will be able to communicate at all levels, have a flexible and creative approach to your work, and have experience of initiating and maintaining good professional relationships with partner agencies
It is essential that you have proven experience in working with children and young people in a multi-disciplinary setting and desirable to have worked with children and young people with Mental Health problems, preferably in a CAMHT setting.
To carry a complex caseload which will have service users who have both Social Care and Mental Health needs requiring a high level of professional skill, providing assessment, care management and other Social Work services and to work within and contribute to the multi agency/professional context of CAMHS.
To undertake a range of individual, family or group work programmes in accordance with agreed plans.
To investigate allegations and undertake robust assessments of all forms of child abuse.
It is desirable to have had a working knowledge and experience of working within a Mental Health setting with children and young people.
Based within a multi-disciplinary team office base Doddington Hospital, but supervised by a manager within the East Cambs and Fenland Social Care Team and with clinical supervision provided within the CAMH Team.
Professional Social Work Qualification, CQSW, DSW, CSS.
Proven experience of Social Work with children and families in a Social Care setting. It would be desirable to include experience of working in a Mental Health capacity with children and young people.
Current GSCC Registration.
Ability to drive.
