The Social Care L&D team is looking to recruit a Senior Learning and Development Adviser who can make a positive contribution to implementing the children’s workforce strategy for Surrey. This will involve provision of a wide range of integrated learning and development activities aimed at enabling Surrey’s Children and Young Peoples Workforce to develop essential skills, knowledge, qualifications, values and confidence to ensure an outstanding level of service to children in Surrey.
You will be integral to improving the skills and qualifications of Surrey’s Children’s Workforce via a range of integrated learning and development provision across Surrey’s Children and Young People’s Partnership. You will provide advice to, and negotiate with, all stakeholders across all agencies involved in driving forward workforce development initiatives.
You will work within set standards, timescales and budgets using project management tools. With excellent presentation and facilitation skills, you will have a sound understanding of the Children’s workforce and the processes involved in joint commissioning and designing of multi agency integrated training events. With a flexible and creative approach to partnership working, you will establish effective networks focused on progressing workforce development targets agreed by Surrey’s Children’s Alliance.
With experience in children’s social care, education or health you will also have a proven track record in delivering or commissioning training and promoting equality issues.
