The Central Duty Team receives all new contacts in relation to Specialist Children’s Services. The Service is at an exciting stage and is in the process of consolidating its structure by recruiting permanent staff to the team. The roles are challenging and rewarding. The Central Duty Team will be part of a multi-agency Central Referral Unit from January.

Senior Practitioners are required to make referral decisions in line with the threshold criteria and within tight timescales, undertaking agency enquiries and supervision of staff.

You will need to be a qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent, registered with GSCC and have considerable and relevant experience in Children’s and Families work. Experience in a duty environment would be beneficial.

You will need to be able to work under pressure, have clear and concise recording skills, be reliable, flexible and resilient.

This is a non case holding position. The annual market premium is included for this position.
