This post offers an excellent opportunity to work on implementing the Council’s recently-adopted Local Plan and on developing the LDF.
We invite applications from candidates who have a degree or Planning Diploma and ideally MRTPI / equivalent status. Experience of working in a Planning environment where you have developed good planning policy experience is ideal.
However, we would also welcome applications from candidates with a specialist skill such as design or an ability and interest in developing such skills.
You will need to demonstrate effective communication skills and the proven ability to manage a varied workload whilst maintaining high standards.
You will be experienced in assimilating information quickly, making and influencing decisions and be able to present ideas clearly and tactfully (often in situations involving competing interests and issues). A flexible approach to work and an ability to work within a team are also key skills.
