Part Time Senior Officer (permanent)
Grade: To be determined at interview as per job description
Salary: circa £32,000 per annum pro rata

We are looking to recruit a part time Senior Officer (15hrs) to join our Technical Pollution Services Team. Your skills would be needed to fulfil the Part Time role of Senior Officer, Supporting the Lead Officer (Land Contamination), responding to planning consultations, assisting report submissions and collation of management information and deal with technical customer enquiries have a Clear Driver’s License and access to a car for work, Option to work at home and remotely (dependant on internet connectivity).
The successful applicant will be required to plan, organise and monitor workloads to ensure agreed levels of service and performance targets are met. You will be required to take delivery and responsibility for tasks with high risk and complexity within the service area. To achieve this you must be proactive in problem-solving with the ability to manage risks and issues effectively.
Leading investigations and taking enforcement action which will include the serving of notices, compilation of prosecution files and giving evidence in court when/where necessary will be required as part of the job remit. In addition the job holder will need to ensure that outputs, including data recording, and reports are produced with written correspondence and verbal advice produced in accordance with the Service’s quality standards and procedures.
