The Centres are based across the City of Salford and offer high quality childcare places to children between the ages of birth to 5 years.An NVQ 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent is essential for the post as is experience of working with young children and their families.Senior Nursery Assistant will work under the guidance of the Room Leader and Education Lead to provide high quality play and learning experiences for the children in their care.Regular contributions to planning, recording and the updating of children’s Profiles will be required. Building and fostering good relationships with children, families and a range of other professionals is a vital part of the Senior Nursery Assistant’s role.Children’s Centres are open all year round and operate between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday; all staff are requested to work a shift within these hours.Salford Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and stakeholders to share this commitment.
