A vacancy has arisen at the above Children’s Centre for a Senior Nursery Assistant. The Centre is based in the Pendleton area of Salford and offers high quality childcare places to children between the ages of birth to 5 years. An NVQ level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent is essential for the post as well as knowledge of working with young children and their families. Senior Nursery Assistant will work under the guidance of the Room Leader and Education Lead to provide high quality play and learning experiences for the children in their care.
Regular contributions to planning, recording and the updating of children’s Profiles will be required.
Building and fostering good relationships with children, families and a range of other professionals is a vital part of the Senior Nursery Assistant’s role. Children’s Centres are open all year round and operate between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday; all staff are requested to work a shift within these hours.
