Hillingdon Council wants to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic individual to manage the Library Service in Hillingdon.
Applicants should have professional experience in public library services or have relevant commercial experience.
We are investing £5m in refurbishments and new builds; introducing new and innovative facilities in all libraries; we have restructured our service provision and have the wholehearted support of our Cabinet Member, Councillor Henry Higgins and Director of Planning and Community Services, Jean Palmer.
You will need to be in tune with new developments in public library provision including commercial sector partnerships; able to make effective relationships with suppliers and partners; and be ready to lead from the front in turning our vision into real outcomes for Hillingdon residents.
We are determined to appoint an excellent candidate and to achieve this objective there will be an Open Session for all applicants on the 9th February 2010 between 11am and 2pm.
