Senior Contracts Officer Salary: £36,306

The position of Senior Contracts Officer will be responsible for;Ensuring that the procurement processes for new services / projects are carried out in the most efficient and effective way in accordance with EU rules and Newham’s Procurement Code of Practice, in partnership with The Strategic Procurement Unit.

The role will be responsible for undertaking contract management including the monitoring contracts in accordance with the assessed risk to ensure that users of the service receive the full value of the support being purchased the delivery of best practice and value for money.

The Person

The successful Candidate will have extensive knowledge/experience of: * Legislative framework for public sector contracts * Social care, health and supporting people legislation, good practice and national initiatives * Contractual requirements, quality assurance and outcome measures * Quality Assurance systems and how these contribute to improvements in service delivery and performance

• Public sector (ideally health, social care and / or supporting people) setting with experience of commissioning, procurement, or contract monitoring. * Project Management particularly in relation to the procurement of new services. * Analysing, interpreting and the presentation of complex data * Presenting ideas and information concisely, clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing.

This role requires the ability and commitment to use the contracting process to secure high quality, value for money services for the people of Newham in partnership with service providers.
