Main Duties & Responsibilities

You will be required administer the Building Regulations and associated legislation, particularly relating to large, complex commercial schemes. You will be responsible for the coordination of a geographical area of the City and deputising for the team leader. Marketing the service, by providing pre-application consultancy for our major clients will be one of your roles.

Essential Criteria

• A relevant degree or equivalent along with full ABE, RICS or other relevant professional membership.
• Significant experience in Building Control, with evidence of experience of complex commercial scheme.
• Be a good communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Well developed organisational and negotiating skills that make you capable and confident to use your own initiative to reach decisions and to assist others in doing so.
• Be capable of making balanced judgements beyond that of the standard technical guidance and putting forward rational, evidence based recommendations.
