An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Brokerage Team. The team is responsible for purchasing Domiciliary Care and Residential Care for North Somerset Council Social Services and works closely with the providers to ensure quality of service.

As a Senior Brokerage Advisor you will be responsible for supervising members of the team and streamlining various processes and procedures in relation to the roles and responsibilities of the Brokerage Team.

The position is mainly office based but there will be a requirement to visit providers to develop their knowledge and the knowledge of the team, There will also be a requirement to negotiate placement costs and outcomes with providers. The ideal candidate would be organised, with an ability to motivate a highly pressurised team, to problem solve, manage own workload and the work of the team. Experience in negotiation and knowledge of financial implications relating to the council and service users, in relation to placements and packages of care are essential.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
