Self motivated individuals are required to join finance teams who have a track record of service improvement and to be part of the new value focused service. The Senior Accountant will work in partnership with Management and offer innovation and challenge in strategy and policy development. The role will plan and coordinate, establishing and monitoring the revenue budget and medium term financial and service plan while continually enhancing the financial and business systems. Providing formal training and high quality financial advice to a range of senior Managers and Members will also be a key responsibility of the role. Successful candidates will thrive on change and be able to meet the continuous improvement challenge, bringing creativity and innovation to their respective roles. Other requirements include CCAB qualified and evidence of continued professional development, significant experience of working in a finance function within the public sector (preferably Local Government) and direct experience of assisting non-finance managers establish, monitor, control and close their budgets.
