These roles are set within the Finance & Resources team that support the Environment, Property, Planning and Community Services, providing a range of key financial support services on capital and revenue budgets.
Working alongside the Group’s budget managers you will provide financial advice and analysis including budget monitoring, setting and year-end accounting processes.
You will also support the delivery of cost efficiencies within the Authority’s Business Improvement programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated finance officer who is committed to studying for an accounting qualification, or is already studying towards this aim.
In addition, you should possess competent skills in the use of mainframe based financial systems and Microsoft Office packages.
