Job Summary

Priority will be given to redeployees The Lambeth SEN Transport Team is based within the Lambeth SEN service, who currently maintains 1400 statements for pupils with SEN, 450 of whom receive transport support. The team manages a home to school transport contract for in-Borough special schools and a framework contract consisting of providers, transporting pupils in and out of Borough.

Ref no: CYP0191The post holder will participate as a key member of the SEN Transport Team to provide statutory travel assistance to eligible Lambeth pupils, ensuring appropriate and safe transport is provided which meets specified service standards and best value. The post requires a high level of customer contact and therefore the post holder will be customer focused, delivering an essential service to a vulnerable client group.The post holder will provide comprehensive admin support to the SEN Transport Team, maintaining accurate, efficient and effective administrative systems and records. The post holder will also be solely responsible for issuing and monitoring the provision of travel warrants, travel cards and parental petrol claims for pupils with SEN and the issuing and monitoring of non-SEN travel cards and 16-19 travel grants.
