Capital Ambition, as part of London Councils ,currently co-ordinates work towards this vision by positioning itself as the ‘hub’ of information on London performance including efficiency and improvement interventions across the Capital.
In a national context which has seen the abolition of Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) and the National Indicator Set (NIS), Capital Ambition has established the London Self Regulation Board to advise on, approve, oversee and assure the development of national and London-specific programmes that will develop strategic capability for analysis, monitoring and robust challenge in order to deliver and demonstrate highly cost-effective local services.
Key aims are improving the targeting and effective utilisation of available London resources, including expert teams and leadership and improving information-sharing and public transparency.
With cost effectiveness in local performance high on the national agenda, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape and run systems and rapidly developing information sharing protocols for London authorities.
This role will support the achievement of Capital Ambition’s objectives through development and management of a data and intelligence system which provides timely and comprehensive intelligence on London’s wider performance.
You will be joining a team which needs to be highly flexible, innovative and credible to London authorities during a period of rapid change and new opportunity.
Temporary or secondment (to cover the remainder of the current Capital Ambition programme period until March 2011, or until legacy arrangements for the relevant work are implemented).
