Two new secondary sector Learning Mentor posts have been created within the Learner Support Service, and we are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and committed practitioners who have the skills to: " develop positive relationships with teenagers and their families to help them overcome barriers to learning? " support young people, particularly adolescents, with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a positive way? " deliver structured programmes to support disaffected teenagers and their families? " work in partnership with staff, young people, families and outside agencies, including work-based providers? Based at Western site, our secondary Learning Mentors will work in a variety of locations, including schools, PRUs, work-based learning providers and home settings. They will be managed by the Secondary Learner Engagement Officer and form part of a team of 16 practitioners supporting vulnerable learners in NE Lincolnshire.
