Salary: £18,137– £19,052 p.a. (45 hrs p/w)
Based at Amberstone Depot
You will be required to carry our grounds maintenance tasks including primarily grass cutting by hand and machine and strimming, in addition to the general weeding of flowerbeds and hedgecutting.
In order to do this you must have proven experience of using ride-on mowers, strimming, planting and maintaining and pruning of communal gardens, you must also hold a current driving licence. As you will be in regular contact with the members of the public during the course of your work, it is essential that you can communicate effectively; particularly with elderly persons.
A sound appreciation of health and safety is essential and you must be able to work under your own initiative with minimal supervision. An NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in amenity horticulture or full time national certificate in horticulture is desirable, together with competency certificates in the use of ride-on mowers, hand mowers and strimmers.
