BURY COUNCIL   CHRIST CHURCH, CHURCH OF ENGLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL, Church Street, Walshaw, Bury, BL8 3AX (Tel: 01204 883415 e-mail: )   School Site Manager (£16054 – £16830 per annum + £500 Matrix Payment for Split Shifts)   REF: 1465   Required for 26th March 2012.   The School Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated person to be part of our friendly team. Key responsibilities include the caretaking of the school site to ensure the safety, security and sound condition of buildings, facilities and grounds. You will need to co-ordinate and supervise contractors and oversee and manage maintenance projects large and small.   Hours of work are 37 per week, all year round. The hours are: Monday – Thursday 6.30am – 10.45am and 3.00pm – 6.15pm Friday – 6.30am – 10.15pm and 3.00pm – 6.15pm.   Occasional out of hours and weekend work will be required.   You will be able to work on your own initiative and have good interpersonal skills. You will be able to use a range of basic tools and offer other basic skills such as decorating, carpentry and plumbing.   An ability to work effectively within a team environment and to build and maintain effective working relationships is essential. In addition, the ability to promote a positive ethos of the school with parents and visitors is also essential.
