Sheltered accommodation is purpose-built to meet the needs and interests of older people who want to lead independent lives in a secure and pleasant environment.

Gravesham Borough Council have an extensive Sheltered Housing Service and are looking to appoint a number of Scheme Managers to support this busy and friendly team . Our aim is to improve the quality of life to the elderly living in the community.

We are looking for people with excellent communication skills and a caring nature and a good understanding of the needs of elderly/disabled residents. You will have the ability to work alone as well as part of a team. Basic office skills including literacy, numeracy are also essential.

The duties are varied but will include visiting residents; liaising with social services and other agencies to ensure residents receive all necessary care; helping to promote social activities and dealing with emergencies.

A clean current driving license and use of own vehicle is essential for this post.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
