Situated in Woking, H.G. Wells Conference & Events Centre is an award winning conference & events centre and is seeking to employ a Sales & Marketing Manager to proactively sell and market the centre’s products and services.

H.G. Wells is a modern, purpose built venue based in the heart of a busy, vibrant town. The venue has a selection of rooms and can cater for up to 800 guests in a wide range of formats. Our Wells Room is the largest event space in Surrey so we are very experienced in running exciting, high profile events.

This is a proactive sales & marketing role with responsibility for generating new business and appointments via pro-active, appointment & cold calling campaigns.

You will have access to established databases as well as referrals and leads but you will be required to generate your own pipeline from active sales. To succeed in this role, you will need to be a real door-opener who gets a buzz from developing new business and delivering results.

The position is very face-to-face so requires someone with highly polished communication skills with an ability to deliver persuasive pitches and successfully win new business. It is essential that can demonstrate a proven track record of developing new client relationships and winning briefs. You will also need to have a proven sales and marketing track record within the Hotel, Conference & Events or Hospitality industries (although this role will not be involved in the delivery phase of events).
