Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults from abuse is a top priority for Barnet Council. If you are looking for a challenge and a chance to develop a specialism in this important area of work, you could be just the person we are looking for.
As a qualified and GSCC registered Social Worker, you will work in the safeguarding adults team and you will have responsibility for supporting staff investigating abuse by taking a lead role in complex cases or providing advice and consultancy. You will provide a specialist service to ensure excellent practice, policy compliance and robust inter-agency working in a dynamic and developing team.
Experience of working in assessment and risk management with knowledge of adult safeguarding and underpinning legislation is essential. You will monitor the progress of safeguarding cases to ensure best practice compliance and work with service users and carers as part of developments. You will have extensive experience in undertaking safeguarding adult’s investigations, as well as previous experience in supervising staff and an up to date CRB check. You will be expected to be an excellent role model and motivator who will guide staff towards improved practice.
