Location We have several sites throughout the district e.g. Kelham Hall - HQ, Leisure Centres at Southwell, Balderton, Ollerton, Blidworth, Tourist Info Centres @ Newark and Ollerton, Museum, Castle and Theatre in Newark, Cashier’s office – Town Hall in Newark, Waste and Transport Depot and Lorry Park in Newark together with several parks and open spaces throughout Newark and District.

Our Revenues Services are committed to providing a high quality service to its customers. After a period of training in all aspects of Council Tax legislation and computer systems, you will become part of a team dealing with customer enquiries, updating and maintaining an accurate database and identifying accounts for suitable recovery action to maximise the collection of Council Tax. As the job is very much in the public eye, tact, diplomacy, and understanding customers’ needs in a sympathetic manner are essential.

You must be educated to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics. You will have experience working in a Revenue services environment and of liaising with bailiffs regarding the recovery of council tax and Non Domestic Rates. You will have an understanding of the law relating to council tax, and good communication skills.
