Resource Centre Worker
£18,270 – £22,001 (Qualification Bar at £20,652)
We are looking for someone who is creative and enthusiastic, with appropriate skills / experience in horticulture / gardening / social business enterprise. You must have the ability to empower and motivate people to develop skills and positive experiences linked to social business opportunities.
The successful applicant will work with people who attend Crown Street Resource Centre (mental health service users) to develop business enterprise projects which will provide opportunities and outlets for skills and abilities to be valued.
You will need to show enthusiasm, ideas, good communication skills and a commitment to training. Good administrative, organisational and assessment skills are essential to the success of this role.
An understanding of how mental illness impacts on people is vital and you will be committed to practicing in an anti-oppressive way.
It is anticipated that in the future the service will be extended to provide occasional evening and weekend opening. To facilitate this extended service the person appointed will need to be flexible in their working hours.
The post holder will be seconded to Mersey Care (NHS) Trust as are all staff in mental health social care services, in line with a policy intended to lead to full integration into the Trust in due course.
This is a fixed term post to 30 July 2010.
