BARBICAN ESTATE

We are seeking to appoint a Resident Engineer who is committed to providing a high quality service and excellent customer care to our residents on one of the most recognisable and desirable residential estates in Europe.

This key role requires an individual who is self-motivated, committed to providing first class services and can demonstrate effective technical skills. You must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work under pressure with at times minimum supervision. You must be able to think on your feet and find both cost effective and timely solutions to a range of challenges which may arise whilst you are on duty.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Maintaining and carrying out repairs to electric under floor heating and controls.
  • Monitoring and maintaining estate lighting. Carrying out emergency lighting checks and other visual inspections and tests
  • Monitoring and maintaining residential and commercial ventilation.
  • Providing 24 hour out of hours call out service at designated times to deal with a range of emergency repair situations. (Rent free accommodation will be provided on the estate.)
  • Investigating and reporting issues or complaints raised by residents and developing solution.
  • Providing day to day support to the Repairs team.
  • Participating in resident liaison including attendance at meetings

Suitable candidates will have proven electrical experience with a relevant qualification and preferably will have worked in a role with similar requirements for a substantial period. Good IT Skills are essential
