Repairs Manager – Responsive Repairs
Salary: £41,199 – £42,939 + essential car user
The London Borough of Croydon are keen to employ the services of an experienced Responsive Repairs Manager to join their Responsive Repairs Team, which is based within the Adult Services and Housing Department. Reporting to the Head of Responsive Repairs you will be delivering an excellent repairs service to approximately 14,000 council homes and 2,500 leasehold properties across the Borough under long-term partnering arrangements.

Following a restructure they are now seeking a Repairs Manager with the skills, drive and enthusiasm to motivate and lead the team to improve the overall repairs service. To achieve outstanding levels of service the new post will require an inspirational and innovative manager who can identify and deliver continuous improvement, challenge current procedures and who has a track record of leading teams effectively through change.
- Proven management experience essential – you will be responsible for a team of 13 staff and the partnering contractor
- A background of working within a Social Housing environment – responsive repairs experience would be desirable
- A revelant Technical Qualification – a degree in Building Surveying or equivalent
- Commitment to service improvement through effective team management, problem solving and forging strong partnerships
- An understanding of the impact of activities on the cost effectiveness and quality of the service, dealing with conflicting demands but delivering high quality work to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of current building regulations and a good knowledge of the Right to Repair Act and disrepair protocols.
