We are looking to recruit new team members who are friendly and caring to escort pupils who have special educational needs on their journey to and from school. You will have experience of contact with children in a personal or work setting. Experience with children who have special educational needs will be an advantage.
Escorts must be available to work split shifts: morning (approx 7 – 10 am) & afternoon (approx 2 – 5 pm). We are looking for relief escorts to cover our regular escorts. You would be required to work as and when necessary and this may be at short notice. You will need to be sensitive to the needs of the pupils in your care as well as the needs of their parents/carers. You will need to be able to make sound judgements using your initiative and you will need to have good communication skills.
You will need to be a positive person who can deal with pupils displaying challenging behaviour and can maintain a sense of fun within a secure & structured routine for our pupils on our transport.
Interviews will be held on 5th & 6th August 2009.
