We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised, confident person with experience of managing projects to strict deadlines and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. If that sounds like you, then this opportunity to take a prominent position in the work of partner organisations across Havering in implementing the children’s workforce strategy and plan is one that you should not miss.

This two-year fixed term post combines co-ordination of funding opportunities and developing funding bids with policy development, collaboratively working with other officers and partner organisations on common themes, national priorities and transitional issues, specifically with reference to Every Child Matters. You’ll also play a key role in being a champion of the Havering Children’s Workforce Strategy agenda through awareness raising activities on a regional and local basis.

To support the implementation of this work across Havering, you will be required to ensure the smooth running of the Havering Children’s Workforce Strategy Group and chair/lead the work of related sub-groups. Your experience of working within children and young people’s services will help you represent the interests of partner organisations within the Havering children’s workforce on Children’s Workforce Strategy issues at external events, forums and meetings confidently and work with relevant contacts to identify and deliver joint training and development activities to employees, workers and volunteers across the Havering Children’s Trust community.

Applicants should have a degree in a related field or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency as relevant to the requirements of this role. You should also have ICT skills, including knowledge of software packages such as Microsoft Word/Excel, and must be numerate, with sound analytical skills.
