Torbay Development Agency (TDA) has been commissioned by Torbay Council and its partners to deliver an extraordinary portfolio of regeneration projects. These projects have been phased over the next five years, with a second phase outlined for the medium to long term. Many of the capital projects were inspired by the 2008 Mayor’s Vision (for the New English Riviera) and some are about to enter the implementation phase. The Agency requires a Project Director to lead the delivery of the more challenging projects outlined in the Vision. The initial focus will be on delivery of the £36m Castle Circus Regeneration Project, which includes the adaptation of a Grade 2 Listed Building and 40,000sq.ft. of new offices with a local facelift scheme to revitalise the area. The TDA also has the mandate to establish a Local Authority Asset Backed Vehicle to deliver major town centre redevelopements in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. It is envisaged that the Project Director will have delivered major commercial projects from inception through to completion.
