The Kent Canterbury, Thanet and Swale Disabled Children’s Team is seeking a full time Principal Social Worker.
Initially this post will be based in Whitstable (moving to Sittingbourne in the near future) covering Canterbury/Swale in an integrated setting with children’s health called the Multi Agency Specialist Hub (MASH).
You will be motivated and able in promoting the welfare of children by working in partnership with families and other agencies to ensure that children are safeguarded.
Through Multi Agency Working with Health, Education and other agencies our role is to support disabled children, their families and carers in the community as Child in Need and also those in need of being Safeguarded and Looked After Children.
Experience in Safeguarding is essential to the role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are also essential.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Criminal Records Bureau and to registration as a qualified Social Worker with the General Social Care Council.
