Due to an internal re-organisation and promotion, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Building Control professional to play a key role in the delivery of a high quality and flexible Building Control service in Blackpool.

If you are motivated, customer focused, and have excellent time management skills, we would like you to apply for a job where previous post holders have moved on to become Building Control Managers both in-house and in other Authorities. These promotions have not been an accident – this post offers real opportunities.

We are looking for someone who can influence continual improvement through leadership and innovation. Excellent technical knowledge is important as you would take the lead on major projects and manage our partnership accounts in addition to the supervision of a team of Building Control Surveyors. Our focus group consistently comments that we are “one of the best service deliverers in the region”, so it is essential that you have the same level of customer focus and motivation.

You must have :-

Full membership of a relevant body (RICS / ABE)
At least five years post qualification experience in Building Control
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
The ability to supervise
Be a positive team worker
Excellent customer care skills
Full driving licence and own vehicle

In return we offer a competitive salary of upto £35,852 (pay award pending), essential car user allowance, payment of professional fees, upto 31 days annual leave and flexi time.
