Two new primary sector Learning Mentor posts have been created within the Learner Support Service, and we are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and committed practitioners who have the skills to: " develop positive relationships with children and families to help them overcome barriers to learning " support children with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a positive way " deliver structured programmes to support children and their families " work in partnership with staff, children, families and outside agencies Based at Western site, our primary Learning Mentors will work in a variety of locations, including schools, PRUs and home settings. They will be managed by the Primary Learner Engagement Officer and form part of a team of 16 practitioners supporting vulnerable learners in NE Lincolnshire. Interviews are to be held 16th July 2009.
