An experienced senior practitioner is required to manage, develop and implement a range of inclusion strategies to promote behaviour, attendance and inclusion within our primary schools. The post holder will manage a team of 2 Learning Mentors and will work with head teachers and school staff to support them to engage disaffected and vulnerable children. The post holder will work closely with the Primary SEAL consultant. The successful applicant will have an in depth understanding of primary education, and will have held a senior position linked to supporting positive behaviours within a primary school setting. S/he will have a detailed understanding of the ECM agenda, and be able to deliver or facilitate training on a range of interventions including nurture, parenting, positive handling, coaching and creating a positive culture. This is a new post within the service, and offers an opportunity for a first class practitioner to model positive, effective intervention in primary school settings.
