Liverpool City Council wishes to appoint a Policy & Strategy Officer who will be required to assist the development, monitoring, implementation and review of a broad range of housing policies and strategies in support of the overall regeneration of the city.

This position within the Housing Strategy & Investment Unit offers a real challenge and opportunity to the right person to help transform and influence housing quality and choice in the city.

The successful applicant will need to be innovative, dynamic and motivated and be someone who can ensure that we have an effective range of policies and strategies in place so that we can reach our aim of a balanced housing market across the city.

You will need to demonstrate:

• Experience at a senior level in the housing field
• Experience in developing policies and strategies
• A knowledge of commissioning research and preparing briefing notes

Working with colleagues, the policies we develop will help inform a range of regeneration initiatives to support one of the largest Renewal Area programmes in the country, and will help bring real lasting improvements to the lives of our residents.
