Children’s Centre Overview
Tower Hamlets Children’s Services are developing a total of 24 Sure Start Children’s Centres in Phase 1, 2 and 3 providing:
•Early years education integrated with childcare
•Family support and outreach services
•Health services
•Links with Job Centre Plus and training providers.

The Children’s Centres are hubs for services for Children under five and their families. The Local Authority is working in partnership with the Primary Care Trust, Job Centre Plus and voluntary sector partners to develop a network of Children’s Centres to provide services for families across the borough. There are currently 20 centres with a total of 24 expected by 2010. The development of Tower Hamlets Children’s Centres provides an exciting opportunity to make a difference to the outcomes for young children in one of the most disadvantaged areas of the country, but one which has very high aspirations for all children. We ensure our services are of the highest quality through our Self Evaluation Form (SEF).

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic people keen to work with families. All posts have a primary location with an expectation of supporting staff across all centres on occasion. Further information on Children’s Centres can be found at:
