PLANNING POLICY TEAM LEADER

Salary scale, Band G, £30,011 – £33,661 per annum

North West Leicestershire lies at the heart of the National Forest and is home to

East Midlands Airport and Donington Park Race Track. These, together with the challenge of where new development will go, are key issues to be addressed as part of the Council’s proposed Core Strategy, with a Public Examination in 2011.

An exciting opportunity is now available as Planning Policy Team Leader to make a major contribution to this work. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self motivated person to lead our Planning Policy Team of four officers within the Spatial Planning Section.

You will have good communication skills, be innovative and creative and be able to work to challenging deadlines. The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, be a member of the RTPI (or other equivalent institute) and have significant experience of working in a planning environment.
