Elmbridge Borough Council is looking to recruit a Planning Officer for the Council’s Policy Team. The successful candidate will need to have a good knowledge of national planning policy and an understanding of Local Development Frameworks. Alongside this we would also expect candidates to possess excellent IT, research and analytical skills that will enable them to support the team in developing local policies.
Alongside providing research and analysis support to the team the post will also contribute to policy preparation and take responsibility for monitoring and review of the Local Development Framework. There will also be opportunity to represent the Council’s interests in relation to the plans and policies of other bodies.
Working within a culture of continuous improvement the post will take a lead role in ensuring that the policy team makes effective use of information technology as well as supporting officers to develop stronger links with the community.
Due to the level of knowledge and experience required for this role to undertake we are anticipating recruiting between £18,453 and £25,185 on the salary scale above.
