Personal Assistant (PBC008)

Inclusive salary range £22,776 to £25,201 per annum

In this new post you will provide a full secretarial/PA service for the Head of Planning & Building Control including diary management, arranging meetings, preparing presentations, typing and drafting correspondence, responding to customer and Councillor enquiries and also providing administrative support to managers in the department on specific pieces of work / projects e.g. producing reports.

You will also co-ordinate internal administrative processes e.g. HR returns, invoices, incoming mail and maintaining and organising departmental records and contribute towards and support the Head of Planning & building Control in undertaking major projects.

Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English (A – C grade), you will be computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office Suite, possess NVQ Level 3 or equivalent secretarial qualification and have previous relevant work experience. An understanding of Planning and Building Control service provision within the public sector is desirable.

An excellent communicator with previous knowledge of working in a secretarial role, you will have worked within a busy office environment and possess proven organisational and administrative skills. The ability to work well under pressure, a flexible approach to work and the ability to research information / statistics and produce accurate briefing and summary notes are essential for this post.
