An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our committed team of frontline staff in Bracknell Forest’s Library Service, on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2011. You will be expected to work at any of our 9 libraries, providing additional cover as required. If you enjoy working with a broad range of clientele, have strong IT skills, and an interest in books and reading, then this could be the career for you. With excellent customer care and communication skills, you will be a strong team player, and you must be willing to work flexibly. Due to the requirement to travel between branches, the ability to drive, and access to a car is desirable though not essential.

Your key responsibilities will be to work on the counter issuing and returning items to customers, to help customers to choose books and audio-visual materials, to answer enquiries, to tidy shelves, to deal with requests, and to assist the public in the use of our ICT facilities.

For more information or an informal discussion please contact Fiona Atkinson, Community Services Manager, on 01344 352153.
