Assistant Director: Services for People

Permanent, full time (37 hrs per week), Salary £55,031 – £61,720

We are recruiting an Assistant Director, with lead responsibility for both children’s and adults safeguarding, to join this successful team leading the development of the new People Directorate in Rutland County Council. The directorate is made up of children’s services, adult’s services, culture and leisure, transport, customer services and the registration service.

The council has a well-earned reputation for providing good-quality services and it is important that the successful applicant has considerable relevant experience as well as a flexible and adaptable approach in order that the Rutland community receives the best, appropriate and cost-effective service

The Rutland vision for services is delivered through a single One Council approach which focuses on improving the lives and services of the community. The successful candidate will be required to embrace this single approach with vigour and enthusiasm.

The successful applicant for this post will be subject to a check by the Criminal Records Bureau.
