Medway Adult and Community Learning Service
We are recruiting for a tutor to teach French at various levels. The course will commence in April at one of MACLS’ main or evening centres as required. Tutors should be qualified at least to degree level. Additional courses may be planned subject to demand. You need to be:
· Prepared to work daytime, twilight, evenings and occasional Saturdays as required at either the Rochester or Gillingham Centre
· Qualified or highly skilled in the subject specialism
· Qualified to teach adults. If you do not hold a Cert Ed, DTLLS or PTLLS, you must be prepared to start on a training course at the first available opportunity within your employment and definitely within the first year
MACLS is committed to the National Skills for Life Strategy and operates a whole organisation approach to it. All staff are expected to have personal competence in English and Maths at Level 2. If you do not currently have evidence of achievement at this level, we will support successful appointees to undertake the Adult Literacy and Numeracy qualifications within the first year of working for us.
